The NorCal Futures Softball Camp features 72 of the finest young players in a Region.

The first annual NorCal Futures Camp was the culmination of several years of RegionalSoftball Camps that originated in Seattle, WA, moved to San Diego and finally settled in Stockton, CA. The NorCal Futures Camp is held in September of each year in conjunction with the Runnin’ Rebel Showcase.  This Regional Softball Camp concept will be expanded to Texas next year, and will eventually become premier recruiting events in Georgia, Chicago, IL, and Kansas City.

The NorCal Futures Camp features 72 of the finest young players in a Region who come together to work out in front of college coaches across the country.  The NorCal Futures Camp is an invitation-onl.y event, and any interested athletes can contact Derek & Joann Allister.  The event is open to those players entering their 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th grade years.

In 2009, 33 coaches came to watch the 72 players workout and showcase their skills.  Schools representing the Pac-10, the WAC, the SEC, the Big 10, the Big West and several other major Division 1 conferences attended this Regional event.  Several players who performed well in Stockton were subsequently invited to the National Elite Futures Camp the next month.  Regional Futures Camps serve as springboards to Division 1 scholarship opportunities and National Camp invitations.  If you have the chance to join the Allisters for a Regional Camp event, don’t hesitate; it could be the key to finding the school of your dreams.
