Right out of the gate on Sunday, Shy-Lee Teran (2027 SS) got things off to a rousing start as she began crushing the ball off the left side, hitting it deep in the 220’ gaps and depositing several over the fence. It was an impressive beginning to a day that would showcase a large number of excellent DI college prospects. Colorado Sunday and Monday Jamborees are always a highlight of our summer. And this year was no different. The college coaching turnout was outstanding. The weather was beautiful. And most importantly, the players we brought to camp matched our expectations. They were good!!
2026 1B Addison Ochoa can swing the bat, and she plays a great 1B. It is amazing Addison is still uncommitted. A college coach said Addison could be a starter as a freshman at the P4 level. Three other impressive 2026 hitters, Chloe Champas (OF), Zoey Kuhl (OF/2B), and Elise Roe (MI) all showed real talent offensively and soon should have multiple offers. All three are middle of the line-up hitters who will hit for a solid average and produce some runs. We will be excited to see where all four of these talented players land.
Now it will be impossible to mention everyone here. The depth of talent was too vast. However, there were several players who excelled both offensively and defensively who I would like to mention. 2027 SS Kiley Glenn had a great day. She is a polished defender who can really swing the bat. And 2027 middle infielder Sienna Owen, who played so well in SoCal a few weeks ago, showed that she could even get better. Another high level defender who can really put pressure on any defense she faces with her offensive game. And 2027 OF AJ Lincoln had a wonderful day, particularly on the offensive side. AJ will hit for a solid average and some power numbers wherever she ends up at the next level.
2028 Nevaeh Wilson continued to cement her place as one of the best players in the 2028 class with a great performance both offensively and defensively. Long recognized as a high level defender, Nevaeh has added power to her offensive game, and those drives in the gaps are now threatening to leave the park on a regular basis. Likewise, 2028 middle infielder Megan Wong is showing a more complete offensive game. Megan is a triple threat now who can bunt, slap, and swing away. She is hard to defend. And finally I’d like to mention several young players who have tremendous hitting potential – 2029 Grace Boekenoogen, 2029 Grace Johnson, 2029 Abby Stenerson, 2029 Brinkley Wing, and 2030 twins Kennedy Lugowski and Tayor Lugowski – all of whom look like potent offensive threats at a very young age.
We need to give special thanks to Triple Crown’s Dave King, Kerry King, and Krista Judge for their longtime friendship and help in making this event possible. We can’t say often enough how truly special they are. We also want to thank Krista's dad, Ken, for all his help throughout the day. And we’d like to also mention the OnDeck players who came back to help us this year – Peyton (Utah), Jazmarie (Arizona State), and Sophia (Washington) – and the youngster Star Gutierez who will be a great player at the next level.
Please remember that the ODM numbers, while growing increasingly important, are only a snapshot of a player’s evaluation and potential.
